As a digital infrastructure company, YCO Cloud believes in bringing best-in-class talent to ensure that it upholds globally-accepted best practices in the design and construction of its facilities. This is why YCO Cloud engaged the expertise of Cloud Centers LLC, a data center advisory and development firm based in San Francisco, at the early stage of its project development back in 2020.
Led by industry veterans Jon Paulsen and Craig McGahey, Cloud Centers works with its clients to deliver data center projects which meet their business objectives. From concept to turn over, Cloud Centers assists its clients in developing digital infrastructure assets through its customer-centric approach. It has delivered some 250MW of data center projects in its recent experience, ranging from multi-tenant enterprise and colocation facilities, build-to-suit and turn-key projects, to purpose-built powered shells.
From projects located in Silicon Valley, Salt Lake City, Austin, Minneapolis, and Atlanta, and most recently the YCO Cloud Campus One in the Philippines, the Cloud Centers team lends their expertise in hands-on development to digital infrastructure companies around the world.
Jon Paulsen, co-Managing Partner of Cloud Centers, was also one of the founding executives of Digital Realty. His key expertise in wholesale and retail business development, international wholesale colocation, and acquisition experience continue to provide insightful guidance to YCO Cloud in building its business model from the ground up. His stints at Oceanic Data Centers and GI Partners, coupled with his robust understanding of data center development and project management, are key in his participation with the YCO project.
Craig McGahey, who co-manages Cloud Centers with Jon, brings decades of experience in data center development, design, construction, portfolio management and leasing to YCO Cloud Campus One. Craig has worked on over 150MW in data center projects, ranging from brownfield renovation to greenfield builds. A graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Craig has worked in companies such as DataBank, Oceanic Data Centers, Vantage Data Centers, Digital Realty, and JLL. From its inception, Craig continues to advise the YCO Cloud team and its build partners through the construction phase.
“We’re off to a good start. I’m very optimistic about YCO Cloud’s aggressive road map over the next few years, as well as the prospects of the data center industry as a whole in the Philippines,” Craig said.
YCO Cloud CEO Nik de Ynchausti intimated Jon and Craig’s key roles in the organization. ‘The partnership with Jon and Craig has been fundamental in shaping YCO’s platform and vision as a Philippine-based world-class digital infrastructure company. Their expertise cuts across different subjects in the digital infrastructure space and, specifically, in delivering mission critical data centers. They bring to YCO a deep well of institutional and industry knowledge and expertise that we have tapped to conceptualize and design YCO Campus One. Now, we look forward to working with them during the next phase of YCO Campus One: Construction and delivery,” he said.
YCO Cloud Campus One is set to break ground in the First Quarter of 2023.
